I wonder if they used Topaz for the middle books, released in e-book later, because it was in a format they had available? I'm saying this, because people have commented that Topaz is almost between a scanned image and OCR'd text, making Topaz quick-and-dirty. St. Martin's-Minotaur did a similar thing for the Louise Penny books - 1&2 are Topaz but 3 is Mobi. It's not a generalized drift towards Topaz, yet, thank goodness. |
