True, but we're not talking about candidates. We're talking about Presidents - current vs former.

Well, he always said that "history" will decide how good his presidency was. So, I guess he is trying to see what they decided.

The current seems very much like the second coming

...of Carter.

Expect that the state of the economy as he took office will (as bad as it was after Bush's first Wiemar Republic Bill) be better than what we will see by the end of it. It took him less than a month to ram the second Wiemar Republic Bill through.

With congress backing him in looting the treasury, collapsing the currency is looking not only possible, but likely.

The United States government today announced that it is changing its national symbol to a CONDOM because it more accurately reflects the governments political stance.

A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed.

To my fellow Americans, it really doesn't get much more accurate than this.

can we not bash obama until he has made a mistake? hes cleaning up a mess everyone cleans differntly. when he makes a mess, complain about that.

and you say more taxes, unless you make more than $250,000 a year, your not paying more taxes.

anyway, bush was in office 8 years he made a ton of mistakes, but bush bashing is Old News, Obama 40 days, In 2 Years, you May Bash Obama all you want if things get worse. If things Get Better, Im sure your still gonna find something to grumble about. but hopefully you will have some place in your life where things will get better.

Bush Didnt Destroy the Economy, but it happened on his watch and he couldnt fix it,

Bush F'd up after 9/11
HOPEfully, Obama wont F up the mess we are in now with the economy. oh yeah, and he still has To Fix 9/11

BTW. Ground Zero is still a big F'n hole in the ground after nearly 8 G'damn years. If Bush wanted the Country to Pull Together, there Should be a Building there by now. Rising every day, It should be in the Papers Every Day, We Rised from the Ashes and Built a Monument. "The Pillar Of Liberty rose 4 Stories this past week" it should say. Instead we have a hole in the ground. We the People Messed that one up.

Bush has a Kindle, thats Great, Its proably on our Bill though. I hope he isnt Like some other past President and runs op hundreds of thousands of dollars in Phone bills on our dime. (im talking about clinton here)

I would say he got tunnel vision.... he focused so much on the "War on Terror" he forgot to take care of what he was protecting. He also focused so much on the "War on Terror" that he thought invading Iraq was part of the fight. I think he really believed it.

Yes, the results of that tunnel vision left our country in bad shape. We haven't made any infrastructure improvements, education improvements, health care improvements, ecology improvements, trade deficit improvements, or reduction of dependency of foreign oil in 6 years. We stagnated and spent all our effort and money on this "War on Terror".

I've read the same thing about him. He's apparently quite fond of histories and biographies. I may not agree with his policies but I don't think he's as dumb as people make him out to be. If you listen to his early congressional debates, he used to be able to make complete sentences and answer questions. I've often wondered if his aw shucks folksiness was largely an act.

that's What I believe too. which Obama wants to Fix. He has a Dream for this country to be better than what it is today, and I'm sure there is not a person here who would like to live in that America that he envisions.

And Gideon, This it the Internet, when was the last time your seen a comment let go of?

No one waited 2 years to start bashing Bush. Why should I wait? And Obama has made mistakes.

Bush might have f***ed up after 9-11, but that is only becuase he inherited the problem from Clinton. For 8 Years, Clinton screwed up in handling the greatest threat to national security: terrorism. 9-11 could have been prevented if Clinton hadn't screwed up.

And how exactly did Bush screw up? It can't be Gitmo; Obama isn't going to shut it down. It can't be warrantless wiretapping; Obama isn't going to stop it either. And I'm sure we can agree that the invasion of Afghanistan was necessary.

If you are going to point out Iraq, well, Iraq is another problem that Clinton created and Bush inherited. Clinton had the same goal; but he used sanctions to fail to accomplish that goal.

I already answered this quesiton. Re-read my message. So, all the problems out country is in were clinton's fault... and 8 years of Bush was not enough to fix them all? It I recall we had budget surplusses during the final Clinton terms. Actually, if you go back through history the most finanicals growth and prosperity was under democratic presendents.

BTW: I didn't here anyone here say Obama was perfect. I think he just said, give the guy a chance. He's only been at it for a few weeks.

Oh, and BTW I think that Obama extending the DTV switch over by 4 months was a hugely stupid thing to do and has caused more confusion and cost more money than letting it stand as it was. (See my rant in the rant thread).
