I want to buy Ezy Ebook 7 inch WIFI and Android OS from Malaysia It costs USD 199 and free shipping. What is the import duty in India ? Has anybody from India or for that matter anybody from anywhere else purchased it ? What is the quality like ?

i got it within one week..
cost comes to 14000/=

Its Amazon that quotes this value to take out the hassles of paying later. Other dealers let the payee deal with this.

That ridiculous import tax makes it a hard decision but a Kindle is still worth the trouble if you're serious.

That's an absolutely great point, by the way!

Before getting an e-reader I would suggest checking if this or that support your language.

Hey guys!

been looking around a bit n found the onyx boox pretty neat.

on their website they are selling it for about $369 including shipping....not mentioning if the import duty will have to be paid extra and in wht percentage....any ideas???

during my hunting time i was also bothered about the same thing. however i couldnt find out what would be the import tax but i did come to know that yes the receiver has to pay it !!!

I got onyx boox from one of my friend who was coming from US. its been just a week since i have this device

Its been great. Have been using it for almost 2weeks now and the device is great. Yet to fiddle with other setting (like rss reader etc) which i think i will be doing it this weekend.
Overall i am very happy with the device
