Might be interesting to check out his writing.
Did you only watch the first season? Can you give me a list of episodes where Wesley saved the day? Because I don't think it was all that many in all the seasons.

The problem, as Wheaton explains, is that the writers didn't have much idea what to do with a kid (acting) Ensign. So they ended up dumping on him.

You should read some of his reviews of Star Trek TNG episodes he was in. They're hilarious.

He's posted again on his experience with selling the ebook. (I gave him the link to calibre.)

He didn't mention MobileRead, darn it.

i went to a local borders a year or two ago and wil wheaton was speaking. i didn't realize who he was at first (he's certainly no longer wesley crusher) but he was funny, interesting and self-deprecating. hopefully his book will be as engaging.

btw, judging by his latest blog, he doesn't understand that it takes just a couple clicks to create both sony and mobi versions... maybe not perfectly formatted, but good enough for many of us to get out our credit cards.

I think from reading his blog it is not so much the technical aspect of producing the book, but the order and fulfillment aspect. Lulu makes it easy with a PDF. He said he was going to check it out for the other formats.

I think this is a great opportunity for Lulu to embrace ePub as a format from which they can deliver all ebook formats and as a print edition.

Wil posts again on the success of the e-book program. Still no mention of other formats, though.

I've just checked out the lulu web site. They do allow upload of Digital Media for sale (e.g. ebooks), and they take just 20% of the sale price (as opposed to the 65% that Amazon/Mobipocket take).

The drawback is that they only sell through the lulu.com web site, and the search facilities aren't brilliant, nor are the other formats linked to the book's main page.

But if Will made Mobipocket/LRF/ePUB versions of his book, he could upload them to lulu.com and sell them with no more difficulty than he's selling the PDF. And no DRM needed.

I'm very pleased to have found this thread, which prompted me to take another look at Lulu.com's digital media sales. Handling the storage, ordering and downloads for 20% seems a good deal to me.
