Its kind of a trial and error thing, i succeced in adding more vomumes, i'm at 20253 now, but i have to try to add a new small dir and then at random it succeeds, most if the time it starts reading the dir, then the percentage for reading the meta information start going up and then it randomly freezes, then sometimes it succeeds. Just seems strange.

No ram wise its good i m at 4 gigs on vista 64, but i am running the project from a usb hd... not sure if it could be the problem.

These kinds of random failures are usually the result of hardware problems, I can't think of anything in the code that would cause this.

One, non-optimal solution, is to use the --with-library switch of calibre and split up your library into smaller chunks
