Actually I like the larger format for reading, it's one of the advantages some of the PC apps have - speaking of peanut reader as the best example - is the ability to display 2 pages at once. I like the feel like I'm sitting down in front of an open paperback novel.

I like to 'turn' pages rather then scroll my books. As a matter of fact that's two of the features I don't like about FBReader, No 2 page view option and no mouse based next page.

Flip this thing sideways, load up the PC version of peanut reader (ce version works different) and I'd have an extremely comfortable reading experience. If I had the $1000 it's what I would choose to do with the irex model.

Be nice to see a slightly smaller version for consumers - maybe halfway between the demo and a Sony/Kindle. Something like that could come in cheaper than the Sony/Kindle as well...

I'm personally waiting for the large format one to read my large format books, role-playing PDFs of full size books. I'll keep my Sony Reader for novel reading.

I believe they would have to be competetive with the pricing. If they want people to use the technology it has to be affordable.

I'm guessing the technology will offer two sizes by 2010 and more bells and whistles. The larger format would be great for school books. No more 30 lb backpacks.

The industry needs to realize that technology -- if they want EVERYONE to use it -- must be affordable for EVERYONE. Hence the reduction in price for cell phones and cell plans.

Ebooks, emagazines and enewspapers are coming. Prices for resources will force the conversion fueled by the evolution of our society. We want everything and we want it now. Except I don't want to read Gone With the Wind on a 3inch screen.<g>

Whatcha think?
