No. He is most definitely not.
Not until The Sun publishes his nude photos, or some interesting ... aehm ... "story" on the front page. (**)

So go ahead and download that wonderful library program that Paris Hilton released last week. Or was it Michael Jackson? (***)

oh wait ...

Other factors making the name appropriate:
Kovid is a grad student at CALtech. That is where CALIBRE was conceived.
Kovid's Zodiac sign is LIBRa.
Calibre means degree or grade of excellence and CALIBRE is a high calibre product ;-)
Its a short word with a nice zing to it.
I had recently watched a west wing episode where Bartlet used a gun metaphor in commenting on Richies book.
And i nagged Kovid till he agreed to the name ;-)
However it came about, the program is awesome. And welcome to MobileRead!

After all, etymologically speaking, 'liber' is Latin for 'book' (or the inner bark of a tree); as the cap would fit so well, some may find it a shade footling to decry it.... and it adds a deeper dimension to the good missus's original description in her opening post...

Kind regards

Hi
I could not get calibre until I flipped the python slink on my Asus 900a to point to python2.5 - until then it complained about the urllib2 package

I tried the build but there is an issue with setuptools even with the links flipped from python2.4 to python2.5 in /usr/bin

Krittika a talking library is audio books but they started them in the 1970s and then they used cassettes and a special player made easy for the blind to use and they send them all over the country to blind people so they can listen to books that have been put on tape it is charity run in the UK and actors and actresses donate there time to record tapes
