I do nothink you will "lug" a netpc, most of them are less than a Kg. Granted they are heavier that a ebook reader, which typically weigh 1/5 of that.
They are coming up very nicely, with touch screen models already out, if I am not mistaken. Storage is also not a problem, with hard disks in the range of 100 Gb already available.

If you want audiobooks, they could be quite big, then you might really need an expansion card capability, which can accept also big cards.
Can' t help with those kind of ebooks, though, I never use them.

One word of advice, though. Always buy some sort of cover, whatevere you buy. These devices are not really fragile, but you do not want to risk scratching the screen, or even worse, breaking it when you carry it around in your luggage or purse.
Cheers.

I have a "Net PC" (the Dell Inspiron Mini 9, with SSD storage rather than a hard disk). It's a superb machine for mobile net access, e-mail, etc, but I wouldn't want to use it as an eBook reader - it's too heavy to hold in one hand and the battery life isn't long enough.

Thanks everyone.

I've definitely decided to go with the EZ Reader. Now my only dilemma is to whether to buy now and get a colored one at discount or wait for one of the faster ones. I'll keep an eye on RobertB's forum and if it looks like the faster ones will come out by the end of March, I'll wait - otherwise maybe not.

Again, thanks - everyone has been really helpful.
