not a problem. Im a U.S. citizen, im just working in Korea at the moment.

Is it technically "illegal" to have it forwarded here? I know in the past, like with Dell, when ordering a computer there is something in the agreement that says I agree not to buy the product with intentions to ship it outside the U.S.A. or something like that. Im just afraid of it getting confiscated in the mail.

You can't "export" a Dell. Or if you do there is some tarriff. But, I think for your personal use there is no problem doing that.

I'm pretty sure there is nothing "illegal" about it. Then again, I'm not a lawyer nor do I play one on TV.

Well then, I think im pretty sure the Kindle 2.0 is the best way to go. Anyone have any last minute things to say to bring some light onto Sony's device? Trying to go at this with an open mind, but at this point im not seeing a strong enough reason to go with Sony, unless highlighting text with a physical joystick is going to be a real pain in the butt. Though we don't have the product yet, can anyone tell me from using other devices whether its smooth or not when it comes to highlighting without a touch screen?

You know... I never even highlighted with my K1 before. I just tried it and it was super easy. Move the cursor to the first line to highlight, press the select button.. select Highlight Text from the menu... select the last line to highlight... press the button. Done.

I might start doing this more.

wow, like you I'm not in the US right now so whispernet is useless to me except I just ordered the sony 700 because of the file compatibility (can't bother converting everything) and my annotations are about 1 paragraph per page, i will use my notebook when reading school books.

Remember, if you don't like it...........you have 30 days to return it, no questions asked, just for return postage.

Can't beat that with a stick!

No questions asked? Whenever I've returned something to Amazon, I've had to select a reason for the return from a list of options on the returns page. Does Amazon US not do this?
