oh it's beautiful!
Do you have a link for this company?
This is like what I'm looking for.

They should make up a few pretty designs
and offer it to 505 owners kind of like
Oberon does for Kindle people.

The company is called R-N Leather and can be found at http://www.customleatherwork.com/ . I just gave the dimensions of the cover along with a digital picture of the art I wanted and that was it. It's a bit pricy at 85 bucks Canadian, but I think well worth it! The nice thing is picking out just about any picture you want for the cover.

Very cool! What kind of paint did you use?

AlbertaCowboy, that is absolutely beautiful.

I am planning a stencilled picture on my official CyBook cover. I already bought some paints from a hobby store, but I think that I still have to buy some spary lacquer to fix the paint to the cover, before I can start the work...

Now I would just need a beautiful stencil for the cover... One of the options is an elder sign, but if you have better literary ideas, I'm all open for suggestions!

BTW, what have you used to make the stencil? I was thinking of a basic plastic transparency...

An Elder Sign is always a good option. I have it tattooed on my right kneecap. LOL. Being a Lovecraft nut (see my case above) I can whole heartedly support that decision.

To make the stencil I printed out a high contrast pic of HPL and used a glue stick to glue it to a manila folder. I then used and Xacto knife to cut out the individual piece. Make sure you leave a bridge to connect the inside pieces to the outside so that nothing is floating. You can always fill in those spots freehand later.

I do like the Elder sign, but if you are feeling adventurous, have a look at my second option that I was looking at for my own reader: the Moria Gate. (If you can't tell, I am a Tolkien nerd! )
Props to all you folks who are brave enough to stencil designs yourself! That takes a far braver (and substancially more talented) man than I!

Whew, I think that the Moria Gate, although very snazzy (and would look very beautiful on an eBook reader cover), might be out of my talent reach...

But I may give it a try with Gimp to see if I can create a workable stencil from it. Thanks for the suggestion!

For stenciling i use freezer paper it has a wax side, if you print your stencil on the opposite side then you can iron the stencil in place. The stencil will stay in place long enough to paint of your stencil on, and there is no mess and usually no bleeds. This way also takes care of islands so you can cut everything out and then place everything back in the right spot and the iron will set it in it's place.

I have a new question does anyone have any ideas about replacing the plastic "binding" piece that attaches to the reader? i don't think i'll want to spend 30 bucks on a new cover if that ever breaks.
