That is correct. The title stays but nothing opens when you select the book.

Also, if you had not done so previously, the ebook automatically returns itself to the library.

That's been my experience as well Cassidym. The books show an expiration date, and when that date is reached they won't open anymore.

You can return your books early by clicking on the little arrow next to the book in Digital Editions.

Not sure if that would work. The time stamp or days remaining is established when you check out the ebook and open it in ADE. My guess is the date/time on your reader would have no effect on the ebook expiration date.

I have a library ebook on my reader but I forgot to grab it when leaving for work this morning.

Fathermole is correct.

I have an ebook on my Sony 505 that was showing 9 days remaining. I rolled back the date in my settings 3 days and the time remaining changed to 12 days.

I guess anyone who has an ebook about to expire and needs an extra day or two can just rollback the date. Neat little trick.

Mac / Sony / ebx.etd I need help!

I have an issue I'm a mac user with a sony prs 505 and recently purchased an ebook from ebooks.com which was delivered in a ebx.etd format and I can not seem to convert or get it to work with my reader?

Does anyone have a solution. So far i've been able to use calibre for all my conversion needs but it doesn't seem to work with this one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Cris...

While the Mac version of Adobe Digital Editions opens the ebx.etd just fine, it won't copy it to the Reader as Sony hasn't provided the necessary drivers. I use VMWare Fusion to run XP on my Mac and transfer the protected files that way.
