I hadn't actually checked that out, because I thought the only one I'd be able to access is my local library's ebooks, and they don't have much of a selection right now (about 20 titles).

I think you are thinking of "The Cat Who..." series by Lilian Jackson Braun. I love those too, but this one isn't one of them.

This series is also about cats (are you seeing a trend in my reading prefs here?) but it's got a fantasy angle to it, in that these cats have Celtic origins and can understand and speak English. So they turn to helping the police solve crimes, through anonymous tips.

I love this series, I've read all of them but the last two, one of which is on my reader at the moment, and the other is in my wishlist at BoB.

That's what I was thinking of They sound interesting, but I'll wait til I get my cat to read them so I can appreciate them more.
