Lobby, I am a non US user too, I get a lot of my books from either Smashwords or Feedbooks. Have not yet bought anything from WH Smiths or Waterstones. I have bought from Pickabooks as well (UK) based & there I was able to redeem a book token as well online.

Google checkout is a service provided by google that is similar to paypal. You give them your credit card details and when purchasing stuff on websites you can buy via google checkout (as you would with paypal), that way the web site doesn't directly get your credit card number. I don't think that as many sites use google checkout as paypal, but it is getting more common.
Google "google checkout" and it'll give you the details. From what I remember it allowed me to give a us address as my address even though my credit card address was irish. |
