As I said before, I reset to factory defaults, so this config would most likely not match what I had before.

Also, my first Clara BW had the same problem, as far as I remember, and it never had NickleMenu - I only installed that recently, when the remote came out.

What would happen is that I couldn't put the unit to sleep, it would just stay there as if I had never pressed the button. It would also NOT turn off. Then, minutes later, it would shut off.

A few times, it would not turn on at all. Again, as if I had never pressed the button.

It's all very confusing.

I can't comment about the dictionary, but if we're talking about Pocketbook, then KOReader is mandatory, by my standards. YMMV.

Also the Era Lite has a screen we probably haven't seen before, as other ereader brands with 7 inch Carta 1300 display have stylus input, while this model hasn't.

I'd like to use KOReader, but it halves the battery life, so I don't. At least on Kobo. On Pocketbook I would use KOReader only, which gives a lot of freedom including dictionaries. I haven't heard bad things about battery life on PB.

And I forgot about Kindles. The PW6 also has a 7 inch Carta 1300 non-stylus display. Although I'm not sure if the stylus input capability is there but disabled, or if there are 2 types of 7 inch Carta 1300 displays.

Edit: Now that the new PB Era Lite has surfaced, Kobo is the only brand without a 7 inch BW device. That alone should push them to make a move.

Carta 1300 refers to the display layer (transparent electrode, microcapsule layer, TFT layer and substrate). Above that would be the various other layers for touch/stylus, light guide, color filter array & a top protective layer depending on what has been ordered.
