@kovidgoyal, probably easy fix: that's since 1.48, at least, so not related to calibre 9. |

Version 9.1 also has the problem that page elements are not cleared. I have tried several times.

The problem is fixed, I just tested. But you need to run from source in order to see it.

If you're on windows, all you have to do to run from source is:
Download this file: https://github.com/kovidgoyal/calibr...ads/master.zip extract it to: c:\users\your-windows-username\ (example path) then run this bat script: set "CALIBRE_DEVELOP_FROM=C:\users\your-windows-username\calibre-master\src" start calibre (just save that in a txt file and give it a .bat or .cmd extension) Last edited by Comfy.n; Yesterday at 06:03 PM. |

It's too complicated. Let's wait for it to be fixed.

But you can test it right now if you run from source. |

It's very simple actually.
Some people run from source all the time, but I think the viewer gets too slow because it needs to be compiled in real time, something like that; Kovid explained this better. So when I want to run from source, I just download and extract the zip to the dir I mentioned and run the .bat script. |

I normally run from source and use a batch file to start calibre without running from source. You could reverse this by placing the path to the source in the "" as in the second example below.
Code:
set CALIBRE_DEVELOP_FROM="" calibre Code:
set CALIBRE_DEVELOP_FROM="d:\calibre\calibre-master\src" calibre |
