For historical/timeslip, Nicola Cornick is one of my favourite authors. Also Andrea Penrose's Wexford mysteries are worth a read IMO. (Regency)
More romance with a historical twist are Susanna Kearsley's novels.

Try The Ancient Future series by Traci Harding.

As usual GoodReads gets it wrong as there are 4 books to the series
The prequel is This Present Past by Traci Harding

L. Sprague de Camp has written some good (and funny) historical fiction.

My husband's introduction to L. Sprague de Camp was reading his non-fiction book _The Ancient Engineers_ for a history class. He was surprised to find out that the author of his favorite history text also wrote science fiction and fantasy.
