You probably know this, but for the benefit of others, the baseline Sort by feature can do that.

I am surprised that no-one has mention the Reading List plugin. This is the one I use the most after FanFicFare (which is only essential if you download a lot of Fan Fiction).

I do have it installed, but I seldom use it. I prefer to send books to my devices manually, not automatically, and I usually create various lists based on temporary tags, because my lists also are usually temporary. So I haven't found regular use for the Reading List plugin yet.

Oh, I didn't know that. But after a quick test, Sort by don't allow shortcuts, wich is all the interest to quick switch betewen different sorting.

Because I have multiple libraries (5), each with multiple Views I don't use View specific shortcuts - e.g. Books has 6 sorts, Media has 4, Creators has 3…

I access VM via the context menu so the "Saved Views" are only a couple of one-finger key presses away:



A VM View also specifies which columns in what order… which is as important to me as sort sequence. If baseline calibre had a separate Column order feature I'd drop VM, I don't use it's VL integration.

The plugins you choose depend largely on what you want to achieve with your library organization.
Besides the ones already mentioned, if you want to keep track of your reading, I recommend checking out the Reading Goal plugin.

It's only needed if you use Kindle for PC to deDRM Amazon books. Not for Kobo books, Google Play books or books pulled from an eink Kindle.

Look for pre-release versions.

Many thanks. It sounds as if I don't need it. I usually pull Amazon books from an e-ink Kindle.
