Oh, by the way...many phone providers cripple Bluetooth capability on their phones, so even if you do everything right, you may not be able to get online without hacking the phone. Howardforums.com is a good place to go for information on these issues.

Setting up Bluetooth hotsync also requires some setup on the desktop end. Let us know when/if you want to try that.

Re: bluetooth security - there is little danger, assuming you exercise reasonable precautions with your visibility and discoverability settings. After all, your Palm's BT range is only about 30 feet at most! And you won't have it on continuously because of the power drain. A few years ago there was a fad for "bluejacking" or sending joke messages in crowds via the address card exchange protocol (which doesn't require password pairing), but this was not a serious threat. Nevertheless, an encrypted database app is always a good idea if you keep sensitive information on your Palm - the built-in locking/record hiding features are a joke.

I have a Palm T|X and use it extensively for reading. I actually prefer eReader on this device to Mobipocket because it's much more stable, especially with large libraries on SD cards. Mobipocket will sometimes hang when updating the library and need a soft reset. The only way to resolve the issue is to see which book it hangs on and delete it. I don't have this problem with eReader.

I also use Plucker, but I find it works better for reference material than fiction, because the way it paginates makes me feel like I'm missing something.

It's a great device and works quite well.

I've always found Ereader/Palmreader to be super stable too, at least until I hit 500 files. After that it seemed to get all confused.

you can set up Sunrise + PluckerReader so that it seems to be continuous
set no hyphenation & set center justification,
so ragged on left and right (easier to follow lines)
---
Sunrise converts HTML RSS
there are HTML converters available from most other formats

don't waste a lot of time setting up all at once, you need time to get used to the environment
---
overclocking your cpu could be useful for an eReader since you would only be overclocking to open and page-up

Lightspeed supports Palm TX

Afterburner 3.20 with OS3.0 to 3.5
Required Software - LinkeSOFT X-Master

stuff to read :
project Gutenberg books (HTML)
newspaper + magazine RSS feeds
---
sunrise can use javascript to get print versions ofweb pages
