Data should be on a different partition than the OS. Than the Swap. Than the Boot.
Had you tried a Live CD (pen drive) to recover.

Had you tried a Live CD (pen drive) to recover.
The OP said in his first post that he's gotten to the drive with a Live USB.

I had a very similar problem My fix was to go into bios and clear all the uefi boots then manually entering my boot partition location.

Should look like this
/boot/efi/ueid#

I nuked the drive, reinstalled my entire OS from scratch and imported my library with the import tool and everything seems to be in order. Thanks for all the advice!
