I could tell you about my journey to get back home after being stranded with my car confiscated, but I've been fined 3 minutes per hour, so I don't really have the time.)

This seems to be the plastic "FlexiScreen" we have been hearing about for months (e.g. as needed for PVI's 9.7" screen), which is clearly nearing production. This EE Times article confirms that it is still using EInk (electrophoretic) film.

I suspect that this is the 6" "higher quality screen" that the Foxit eSlick is waiting for.

Rumors are true!!

Yes, I know, this has been dragging on forever, but at least we're now talking about feasible dates and we won't have to wait too long before finding out whether these rumors are all true.

Dear Alexander and all:

This is Robert B of Astak and the rumors are all true. We are being told by Jinke of China that we will have an EZ Reader "BigScreen" by the end of July, 2009. This will be a 9.7 inch.

Our factory, Netronix, also is saying they will release to Astak a 9.7 inch inch in September of 2009.

Both will be with the plastic "FLEXI" screen from PVI, our partner also. It is Chinese New Year in Asia so everybody is off for 9-10 days in celebration... but I hope to know more on features and price after the celebration.
