Issues patching 4.38.23429

Thanks, Jackie_w, for taking the time to reply. I'll pray to the @geek1011 gods that he takes mercy on us and weighs in!

EDIT (9.24.25) -- I really miss both buttons and taps page forward, so I've reverted to 4.38.23171 pending if/when those patches are updated for 4.38.23429. I'll miss Instapaper, but I find myself saving articles much more frequently than I want to read them!

Is there anyone with the Libra 2 Colour, using the latest software, with patches, that have both page buttons and both tap sides page forward enabled and working? It may be worth it to me to upgrade my Libra 2 B&W to get Instapaper and the patches I need.

There is no Libra 2 Colour. There is Libra 2 (B&W) and there is Libra Colour, and they use different firmware versions.

Yes, I mistakenly threw in a 2, but you've completely missed the point and obviously haven't read this thread. The patches I cited have a dependency that seems to work with the different software version of the Libra Colour. I was trying to confirm that with someone who has one and had applied those patches.

If a patch isn't working on the current Libra 2 firmware, it won't be working on the Libra Colour firmware, either. You can revert to an older firmware on the Libra 2 to get fully working patches, but this is not possible for the Libra Colour. Of course, the old firmware won't have Instapaper, either.

Thanks @Aleron Ives, but I'm not sure your first sentence is correct. Please take a look at the above exceprt from jackie_w's post earlier in this thread, which specifically states that some of the patches appear to work differently for purposes of the two softwares (i.e., 4.32.23429 for the Libra 2 and 4.43.23418 for the Libra Colour). So my specific question -- unanswered -- is whether the both buttons page forward patch might work on the new software for the Libra Colour (as it wasn't one of the patches she tried).

Although these 2 are not patches I'd normally use:

• Both page turn buttons go next
• Both page turn sides go next

I've just tried both of them on a LibraColour with fw v4.43.23418. I can confirm that both patches seem to work OK without needing any kind of patch rewrites.

Thank you so much for trying and reporting back! You've now given me a conundrum, as I didn't love the Libra Colour quite as much as my Libra 2 when I tried it (basically the background contrast), but it was pretty darn good -- so to have both these patches and Instapaper (and color and, I think, a faster processor) is very tempting (even if I don't actually need to replace my Libra 2 at the moment).

And, unlike certain unnamed contributors here, I will not try to convince you of the merits of these two patches! (although they are amazingly great )

I get a similar error whenever I enable any patch that uses 'FindInstBLX' with 'SymPLT'. The 'SymPLT' line is the one I'm always seeing the error on, at least on the ones I've checked so far.

WOW! That really worked very well.

The only patch (that I apply) that fails to patch now is Increase size of kepub chapter progress chart:. This one I can easily do without. Everything else applied without error.
