And there are rumors that quite soon we'll get PDF module from Adobe (similar to those Sony has).
hi torbich,

just out of interest where do you download your lbook firmware from?

As usual, from this thread:
http://www.the-ebook.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9510
and, sometimes, from these threads:

(unfortunately, they all are in Russian).

Please, when this marvellous firmware appears, inform us non-russian readers.

Regards,

I also don't see a difference with Mobipocket fonts after this update, and my EZ Reader was new with a firmware 3 updates behind. Did anyone see a difference with Mobi fonts?

I figured why not take the plunge to OI now? So I'll try that out for a while.
Do it, you won't regret. Your custom fonts will all work and you have a choice between FBReader and CoolReader for lots of file formats. FBReader has a much better hyphenation engine, so most of the time I prefer it.

Note that there is no support for DRMed files in the current OI, and that USB support is flaky at the moment, so you have to take out the SD card and insert it in your computer's card reader to transfer books.

Hello, I just recieved my Lbook v3 today, very happy. But it will take a little configuring, and I cannot access the hanlin-site in china - access forbidden. Torrent is a good way of distributing free software, it's easy and since the file is small, it could probably have a long download life. The rapidshare-kind of servers, where you pay or wait... well, I don't really like either.

Will search the forums for other reader-lovers, who also own a mac... because I do have some questions regarding book-upload.

thank you.

I could upload the firmware-files to a filesharing service of your choice; unfortunately I can't do torrent (torrent ports are blocked).
Also, I own a Mac, so maybe I could help you out.
