I wouldn't worry about 24 hours or so. From what I've seen reported, the minimum seems to be 5-6 weeks. In my test, I left a Kindle offline for 2 months and was hit by the sideloaded books being deleted bug/feature. I now send all sideloaded books as PDOC just in case I ever leave the Kindle offline for an extended period again.

Note that if this is caused by a time discrepancy that there is variation in clock drift rate between kindle models and individual kindles, so there is no one time fits all safe time. 1 or several days is probably safe, but for the fastest drifting kindles 5-6 weeks is probably too long.

Thanks for the replies! I will try using airplane mode on my worst battery device for a month and see how it goes. I can also just keep charging more often, it’s only travel where it’s actually an issue for me. My older Kindles (except the Oasis) had a much better battery life than these newer ones!
