In the states we are experiencing a supply chain issue due to tariffs. One Kobo order that was placed through Amazon was cancelled by the 3rd party seller. I recently placed an order through the Kobo store on Amazon. Hope this does not go poof. Given the poor reliability of their readers, I got a 3 year Asurion warranty to hedge my bets.
Kobo seems to think Hawaii is on another planet, because the kobo.com site does not ship here anymore. As long as their customer service and reliability are marginal, their market share will never approach the level that Kindle has reached.
