Personally, I expected better from everybody.

Well, everybody else. (I never expect much from myself. You'd agree if you saw the sort of people who willingly associate with me. Sorta the Marxist dilemma of member/club.)

Yes, with this group it is best to be specific.

Rats! Nothing ruins a good time faster than facts, you killjoys....

Still, if you are looking for other options, there are a couple of netbook tablets coming out in a month or two in under the 12" screen size. While they wouldn't have the long battery life and eink of the Cybook and Iliad they should read DRMed formats (they are basically PCs). Another plus is they are saying they will be priced in the netbook range which puts it near or below Iliad levels.

Another possible point in use would be since it's the common flip-screen tablet format it should feel sturdier in use for those that have trouble with the smaller readers.

If you do a Google for ASUS T91 and T101H you will find some pictures and articles on them. (Yes, it seems ASUS might be the first ones to release a small, lightly powered touchscreen tablet. Guess all the massive netbooks volume from their EEE series opened up some eyes to the possibility of new markets.)
