Something is off on what you are seeing, I'd guess currency conversion/localization. The regular price for the Signature is US$189.99, and it's only a 5% discount right now to US$179.99.

That's why I mentioned looking at the US site from Canada. The prices shown are in US dollars with free Prime shipping.

Most importantly in my humble opinion, PW5 is not glued unlike Oasis and you swap out the battery no problem laster down the road (admittedly, that’s probably 10 years of usage but still )

As someone who has extols the virtues of the past kindles (still love the touch and voyage) over newer iterations, I finally caved in and traded in my Oasis (battery was dismal). If it hadn't been for this thread I would not have taken advantage of the second Prime day where the signature edition bundle with wireless charger and cover went on sale....and I finally parted way with the Oasis. Now loving the signature edition, size, battery life and screen are all just right! After coupons and 20% ended up forking out 70 dollars for the upgrade but don't regret it.
