Well, speed does not refer to page turn only, but to navigation in general and there is where 505 is poor. If you read one (lrf/x) book at a time, end to end, the page turn lag indeed is no big deal, but if you are not a "sequential" reader or you like to read several books at a given time, switching often between, then speed becomes an issue.

I like to flip through books, read fast, then sometimes go back check this or that, and with the 500 I found that impossible, only sequential reading of one book was acceptable.

With the 700, I open the page bar and just move around with the finger until I get where I want - of course I can use search or go to page #, but I am used with a touch page bar from the 770 and it works beautifully on the 700 too...

Is some sorta anti-glare film plain out of the question?

Every device I've ever used anti-glare film on has not been as clear. Since the 700 without the lights on isn't very clear (clear enough to read but definitely not the greatest), anything which would reduce what clarity there is would not be helpful.

But I've read my 700 in many different situations and have yet to have a problem holding it so I can read it without glare interfering.
