Viewer won't open PDF with external viewer - Page 2

Kovid,

thank you for your quick help.
You were spot on.

1) The error was:
"Failed to execute child process “gio-launch-desktop” (No such file or directory)"

2) Running calibre as
QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb calibre

removes the problem - PDF are opening with a mouse click, like before.

Good to hear, I have added a workaround in calibre code which just calls xdg-open directly bypassing Qt on Wayland until Qt gets around to providing a fix.
