I made a New Year's Resolution to stop buying books from Amazon, but you're making it very difficult, Open Road.
I was having a look at Greg Bear's books on eReaderIQ and I noticed a major goof.

Far Thoughts and Pale Gods (The Complete Short Fiction of Greg Bear Book 2)

This cannot be complete as it's volume 2. Complete would have to be ALL of Greg's short fiction in one book.

Lol, yeah that's a bit weird. Though I could see it maybe working if additional stories were written after the original 'complete short fiction' was published? Or a leftover from a paper edition that was split for length (similar to the 'this is printed on recycled paper' in an eBook).

What could be used for the title is...

Complete For Now

That way if any new short stories were discovered the book would not have an incorrect title.

I don't which Greg Bear books you want, but eBooks.com has several Open Road Media ones listed. So you might not have to go to Amazon after all.

I think what they mean is that, when you've bought all the volumes in the series, you'll have Greg Bear's complete short fiction collection.

This books is available at eBooks.com, BTW (in case it was missing elsewhere).

But not on sale, unfortunately. Whereas it is on sale through Amazon as well as Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/books/...d=3hyGCgAAQBAJ

Kinda strange. Usually it's either Amazon-only or if it's a "publisher" sale I'd see the same price spread across Amazon, Kobo, B&N, Google Play, and Apple Books.

They are still for-sale on all of the above mentioned platforms except for Kobo, though, so I don't think Open Road entered into some kind of exlusivity deal with Amazon. It seems Kobo-specific.

That's not what it says on the cover. It does say Complete and if there are any stories missing, then it's not complete.

What they could do is make all the volumes into an eBook omnibus and then call it complete.

Another issue...

The Spellsinger series by Alan Dean Foster is mostly on sale for $1.99 each at Amazon. Same books are at eBooks.com but not on sale. No place else has these eBooks.

I'm thinking that Open Road Media is climbing into bed with Amazon.
