It's a buck! And it is sci-fi. If you like sci-fi I would buy it. (Well, I will actually.)

Then don't buy it.

It's a BUCK!!!!!

You probably have more than that in the bottom of your purse. Most people spend 5x that much for a cup of coffee. (EVERY DAY, AT LEAST ONCE)

I spent $1.75 on coffee today (normally I don't buy it), and I only had a few sips when I dropped it getting out of my car. I almost cried

Anyway, its not really the price, it is adding more books onto my backlog. So just wanted to know what you guys thought

Heh heh... just teasing you. Why not go read the review at Amazon. But, I think if you don't read sci-fi and you are wavering... then you should NOT buy it.

Then again, it is only a B U C K... you can read the first chapter and if you don't like it, delete it... I give up.

You probably could have bought it, downloaded it, read the first chapter and decided in less time than we have spent on this thread. (As fun as this thread is.)

The Way of Shadows is epic fantasy and I enjoyed the whole trilogy a lot, buying each book on publication - all as e - and staying way too late to finish them.

Prophecies, twists and turns, assassins, magic, miraculous swords, sorcerers male and female, bad and good and in-between, large scale intrigue and action and what not, all the props of epic.

It's a page turner especially after the first 200 pages which cover our protagonist from age 10 to 20, but then the rest 1800+ pages of the trilogy are a non-stop action romp...

At least we now know that the Hachette Book Group is one of the publishing companies that has been hassling BooksOnBoard to restrict the selling of their books to certain countries. This better not spread to other publishers or other ebook stores
Maybe a boycott is called for

It's fantasy and it got good reviews. The whole 3 books. So I guess it's a well spent dollar, although you'll end up having to buy the other 2 books to enjoy the full story.

I'm finishing reading an E. E. Knight novel, after that I'll read this one.

Just a humble recommendation from one friend to another. Stay the hell away from Sony's store. Particularly when you have readily available alternative purchasing and formatting options that are efficient and easy to use. This book deal is available from myriads of other retailers and will allow you to make a legitimate and legal backup backup of your purchase.
