Hi Speedreader, I'm just wondering if you have heard of the Super Speedreading techniques developed in South Korea in the early 1980s by Kim Yongjin. He established schools where this technique is taught and claims an average of 10 minutes for a 300 to 400 page book. The technique involves not only eye exercises but also breathing techniques and meditation-like states. What is more important, they claim a retention of 65 percent of the contents read. When quizzed on what it is like when they speed read, the students say that it is not like regular reading at all but more like the contents of the book flowing into you through your eyes.
I read about Kim Yongjin's technique in a Japanese book I found by chance in Sydney, Australia in the late 80s but never made it to his courses. Want to know more?
