Space in Comments

HI,
sorry if I insist but, as you can see from fig.3, after a point the program puts by default "<p>....</p>" from which you get the result of fig.3_1.
Does anyone know if it is possible after a period to make the program write "<br>....<br>" (fig.4), so as to obtain the result of fig.4_1?

No. You must change it yourself manually. The bulk edit won't work.

It's possible, just not especially practical alone.

@gianni_1 I recommend you to install and use the plugin Mass Search/Replace which will allow you to quickly launch a Search and Replace operation with a single click.

In the Search/Replace UI, select the field "Comments"

Search:
([\.!?])</p>\s*<p.*?>

Replace:
\1<br>

Mass Search and Replace didn't work when I tried to replace p with br. It was just ignored.

Edit: it seems to work now, so possibly something has changed since I tried it a couple of years ago.

Editing comments was one of the first things I did with Mass Search/Replace.
But, if it works for you now, nice.

Editing other things in comments worked, but not replacing p with br. Still, it was a couple of years ago and I only tried it once, I'm sure things have changed since then.
