you can also do that from any of her posts : click on her name, you'll have several options to choose from in a list, click on the one you want.

Another forum that I participate in has a topic called "Comings & Goings". The "comings" part is similar to the Introductions forum here at MobileRead. But one way it gets used is when people absent themselves for an extended period such as when a member posted that she's going to be sailing for four months and can't predict when she'll be docked and be able to access the Internet. She posted "I'm back!" in the thread when she returned, and then started a new thread to tell us all about her travels and point us to her photos.

nope. No can do. Went to one of her post, and the option isn't there.
Also went to her page, (again) and there is no contact info provided

Please, I would love to be proven wrong on this.

hm. well, it works for me. are you using a liquid layout ? if yes, go back to her profile page and make your browser window larger ; if the window is too narrow some of the tabs will be collapsed and hidden. just above where you would leave a message on her page, you'll see a row of tabs : visitor messages (selected), about me, statistics, friends, contact info. click on contact info and there is a link to send her a pm.

i can also click on her name next to any of her posts and get options including to send her a pm.

perhaps someone else can try, in case this is a case of moderator super powers.

ok, well plan B :
- go to your user control panel
- in the left menu, scroll down and under "private messages" click on "send new message"
- in the "recipients" box type daffy4u.

i really don't see how that can fail.
