I do have a Kobo case in red for my Libra 2. Folding it back does not cause any problem.

The six-year old MoKo case I had on my Aura One had gotten pretty shabby although it still works perfectly; when I went looking for a replacement all I could find was Kwmobile. I never liked the looks of them as that metal strip is most unattractive, but I figured it was still better than the battered MoKo. Moreover, aside from the functional issue, the metal strip has rough edges. Well, I’ll experiment with blocking the magnet on the back, but as of right now the cover isn’t functional as a sleep cover and that’s a functionality I like. My MO is to hold the reader in my left hand, so it’s flatly impossibly to let it just flap open. ![]() I’ve been happy with Fintie and MoKo and this is vastly inferior. |

My kwmobile case does not have that problem, so it sounds like you got a lemon where the magnet is either too large or in the wrong spot. Can you exchange it?

I could return it to Amazon and order another, but the reality is that cases for such an ancient device are few and I suspect that one reason these are still available is that they’re faulty. It’s what’s left. I also think it’s quite possible that kwmobile fixed the issue with cases for later devices.

I also have this problem, even after exchanging my sleepcover for another one.
I’m thinking about getting a third party case or even just get a sleeve for traveling and use the Libra 2 caseless while indoors, but first I want to try the aluminum trick. Does anyone know where are the magnets located? |

Or cardboard.
Only magnetic materials have an effect other than thickness. Aluminium foil is no better than paper. But steel can metal, nickel or mu-metal will certainly work as a thinner layer. Drinks cans are often aluminium and "tin" food cans often steel. Cans with fruit or fruit juice may be painted on the inside because the fruit juice is acidic. Stainless steel is odd stuff. Some alloys (four or five main families) of it are magnetic and others are not. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stainless_steel#Magnetism Last edited by Quoth; 01-12-2023 at 12:48 PM. |

I too, buying Forefront Cases Kobo Libra 2, had the sleep problem, I solved it using a magnet made from a 2.5 inch hdd, glued in the middle of the Forefont and 3 centimeters away from the right edge.
The magnet is 1.3mm thick and has no influence on folding. |
