Yes, I checked my photo, I was wrong. it has 1200 mAh 4.44 Wh stamped on it in the Sage. I don't have the power cover.
Yeah we’d never get a 1:1 charge, but I think Sirtels point stands power cover at 100% Sage at 80% should not result in power cover at 0% Sage at 100%. We should see the power cover at 40 to 50% depending on accuracy of the reporting and efficiency of charging. Quite the disparity there and rather disappointing for the power cover.

I agree it seems strange.

Best advice, if you don't have a power cover, don't get one. A Kwmobile or Fintite cover plus a solar power bank is nearly 1/2 the money and a decent solar charged power bank might be 3000 mAh. I have a cheap 10,000 mAh non-solar power pack too. All handy for phone, tablet, other ereaders etc.

I have a battery backup and one cable that handles microUSB, Lightning, and USB-C. It's a MicroUSB cable with adapters for the other two. Makes it a lot easier then carrying three cables.

I am having the same problem with the power cover so I stopped using it. I put the Sage back in the cover before going to sleep, and in the morning the Sage is frozen while the power cover is completely drained. The Sage has about 20% left. Doesn't happen every time but often enough to make my using the Sage unpleasant and unreliable.

Kobo Sage Power Cover

I had problems with the first one my wife gave me for Christmas. It would freeze the reader absolutely every day, sometimes multiple times per day. I did the "factory reset". There is a total waste of time and effort. Got a new cover, Same problem. I think this is an overpriced, poor idea that most should avoid. If you really need extra power get a portable battery pack. Unless you are backwoods camping I doubt you are ever far enough from a source for recharging anyways.
