I routinely run 2 monitors (over/Under-as main). on 2 systems. Preview, spell check usually on top monitor Single instance only, never had issues and 1 system is really odd as I run 2 USB (diamond ) video (onboard/pci will not allow 1920x1080 ) |

If it corrupts the ini file, then it is widget geometry and position saving issue I think. You are sharing the settings between two different versions of Sigil to the same settings file.
So the last Sigil instance closed should overwrite the setting from all earlier ones. But if the last one closed was on one monitor and you tried to create a new instance of Sigil on the other monitor, I think it is getting confused when it loads a MainWindow into the space of the other monitor. Let's hope DiapDealer can recreate this and help track down what is going on. |

Possibly a small bug in v. 1.9.2: In the spellcheck box, there appear unknown words sometimes twice, depending on the closing of a sentence in the text with a period. So I find, for example:
Quote:
Quote:
That didn't occur, as far as I remember, in previous versions. |

I'm afraid I don't have a realistic way of testing multi-monitor issues right now. I jury-rigged something up in the past, but I currently only have one usable monitor (shared between multiple PCs).

I'm happy to help with testing...I just might need some basic instructions to get started.

At this point, I'd settle for another Windows user being able to recreate your crash!

Not a bug. A feature as the en dictionaries now support proper spell checking of abbreviations (final periods included). Think words like Mrs., Dr., etc., ...
Earlier versions did not handle them properly. So if a word does not exist in the dictionary (like a person's first name) if there are instances which end with a period and instances of the unknown word that do not, they are now listed separately in case they represent different things. Quote:
