But you could wait around, they have all kinds of sales and specials. I can think of 4 in the last 6 months that had to do with membership purchases.

I signed up, but my "1 free book under $10" option doesn't work. I asked Fictionwise customer service abut it, but have gotten no answer. Are they a reliable outfit (I hope)?

With my last complaint to them (which was recent), it took them about a week to respond by email. But when they responded, they had already remedied the situation. Did you fill out their online query form which gives you a tracking number?

I caved in too with the "free" membership offer and the coupon worked very strangely giving me a 8.50$ discount on a combo consisting of a (member prices) 17$ e-book, a 12$ one and a 7$ one - I expected to get the 7$ book free and pay full price on the 17$ and 12$ ones and I was kind of puzzled when I saw the total at roughly 27.50 instead of the 29$ I expected, while the extra Micropay rebate was 25% of what I paid in the order using the Micropay money from the membership.

The only problem is that since then I bought two more ebooks from BoB since Fictionwise does not carry them, but with the reward money I had there I got good prices too.
