You might like to look at the Kepub output plugin https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=220565

That would store the Kepub in calibre as an extra format as opposed to the KoboTouchExtended plugin that does the Kepub conversion on the fly

The way the KoboTouchExtended driver works is going to use a lot of resources if you are sending lots of books. And the bigger they are, especially the chapter count, the worse it will be. The driver is probably starting to many threads for these books. I plan to look at it, but, haven't had time yet. The 64bit version of calibre will push the limit up a lot, but, it probably still can be hit.

The download link does link to the Calibre site for the 64-bit version. You do not need to use the alternate download links.
