I had one of the cheap subscriptions for years too, but finally canceled last summer when I started using my Kindle more and more. I still have over 50 books in my Audible library I haven't listened to yet. - sheureka

Librivox has free PD audio books, read by volunteers:
http://librivox.org/ And this blog lists other free audio-book resources. http://www.pickthebrain.com/blog/fre...ast-resources/ Personally, I prefer reading, so have not tried any of these. |

I still have one of the original subscriptions. I get even the 2 credit books on my one book a month subscription. I was really glad when they started the next listen list because I wasted a couple of months a year by not getting anything.

Amazon is a lot cheaper, but I think Audible has some titles you can't find anywhere else.

I have had the Audible Account since 2001. Started with my Casio Cassieopia. Have used it to listen to books in my car and while out and about walking, waiting, etc ever since. I have had numerous devices using the PocketPC form and the audible listener. Casio, Ipaq, Palm 700W.
Now, I listen to books thru my Garmin, using a direct plug in to my auxilary jack on my car radio. I dont mind my hour long drive each way to/from work ![]() And my new Sony prs700. Man. Life is good! Last edited by rjfarrell; 01-21-2009 at 11:43 PM. Reason: Oops! Typo |
