Why not just stick to paper books then? IMHO the point of ebooks is to read them on a (relatively) small, lightweight, portable device; to be able to adjust fonts, margins etc; to be able to store thousands of them without taking up much space. All these benefits are lost with print replicas. About the only advantage I can think of is the lack of need for physical storage space.
Mind, it's no skin off my nose what you want or prefer. I'm just genuinely curious why one has such preferences. Usually people who love paper books just read paper books then. |

Of course, but reading a PDF on a 8'' screen is a real pain in my experience. Well, reading a PDF is actually a pain on any device, but the smaller the screen the worse it gets. In my personal opinion, obviously. Many people read PDF because that's the only format a particular book/document is available in. I find it very strange that someone actually prefers PDF to any other format.

OT, I looked up the Surface Duo and it seemed fascinating. I might be interested in a device like that. Not for that price, though. Moreover, the reviews weren't exactly glowing. So it seems to be a not quite finished product still needing lots of polishing. And the price needs to come down as well. (While I have bought expensive laptops and tablets and will probably do so in the future, no way I'm going to cough up that much money for a niche device like Duo.) But yes, the concept is attractive.
