My delayed thanks to DNSB. The latest Calibre update was again ermarked by F-Secure as a Trojan virus so calibre.exe was subsequently removed. I reread this thread and saw DNSB's referral to "How to exclude folders and files from scanning". That helped me a lot. Thank you again.

You realize that all those 'free' programs (We used to refer as cr*pware' when they littered the desktop of a new PC), are PAID placements with the hope you will UPGRADE or renew.

It's doing one heck of a crappy job. Dump it. It's garbage at best.

I'm using Microsoft Defender and it works quite well and leaves Calibre alone. Plus it's not crapware or garbage.

Why would you want to use an AV that will be getting in the way of Calibre multiple times? Obviously the people who make the definitions don't know what they are doing.

It's your choice to have to put up with the problem or to fix the problem with a better AV.
