Hey Kovidgoyal,

To be honest I don't see much difference with the margin in the new version released today.
Maybe 1 or 2 pixels, but it's doesn't come close to how it was in the older version that BetterRed posted a screenshot of.
(And even that to my taste was a bit narrow)

Any chance on getting it substantially wider?

Sorry no, there's a tradeoff with wasted space as well.

Changing the User interface style to System default improved things a lot:
