when you say Cloud Reader, you mean any of these links, right? Because I can't see them on it

Hmm it seems not (I don't generally use the sync feature, so didn't remember that). I guess you can sync between phone/tablet/ereader then, but not with a laptop/desktop.

Ok, so I did the same thing with Pocketbook, and I was able to sync my sideloaded epub between the phone and laptop, so that's really good, I would assume if I get a Pocketbook, that's also gonna get synced

Not to my knowledge, but you'd better ask in the Pocketbook forum.

Ooh I see, I'm gonna make a post over there to check with them, if it doesn't work I guess I'm gonna have to drop the laptop sync.

The PocketBook Cloud definitely allows you to sync your own (uploaded) books. I've tested it on my Touch Lux 3, and with the application on my BlackBerry KeyONE. It even works with Adobe DRM books.

EDIT: Should add, also works with the online reader. Syncs highlights and notes.

I've never seen that feature mentioned in any of the threads asking the same thing (i.e. syncing sideloaded books). Wonder why that is, because there are several Pocketbooks users on MR. Anyway, if that's true, then good to know.

If reading ePubs, PPI difference of 167 vs. 300 is noticeable, but not terrible. Many people happily read on the basic Kindle. If you can get the Paperwhite though, without breaking the bank, I would say it's worth the increase.

Already mentioned that regarding Mangas I can keep reading my 2 chapters per week on my phone if the eReader is not capable of loading/rendering them.
Manga should be okay on a 6" reader. Manga tend to be black and white and less detailed than western comics. Tankōbon are closer in size to the Oasis/Libra 7" screens, but you would do okay on a 6" I think.

If reading manga, the difference between 167 and 300 ppi will be much more noticeable than in normal text.

Thanks for the comparison, do you know how is 212 vs 300? I'm gonna go for a PocketBook because of the syncing feature.

I've only used my e-ink screens for reading text, so I won't pretend to be an expert on how 167 vs. 212 vs. 300 ppi.

I have an old Nook ST with a density of 167. Screensaver images look pretty good on it.

But with Manga you have the pictures and the word balloons. I would think a small word balloon would be harder to read at 167 vs. 300 ppi. But again: I haven't read comics or manga on an eink. I've always used tablets and my Surface for that.

Kindle offers multiple dictionaries that can be purchased. The best IMO are:
1) Webster's Third New International Dictionary...Huge with detailed definitions but expensive 59.95-Comprehensive!
2) Wordnet great and about 4.99 ...sometimes found for free and includes a thesaurus
3) Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary
4) Collins English Dictionary
Wish Kobo offered these optimized on their devices. Wordnet can be found for free online and added to Kobo, but it somewhat difficult for a new user.

All of the dictionaries I listed directly install on a Kindle and can be made the default Kindle Dictionary-You can switch back and forth.
Sideloaded content works just as well.
