The Kindle DRM is coded for the device you download it for. So, if you want to read the book on the target device, you won't have to remove the DRM. If you want to read it on any other device, DRM must be removed.

But if you want hyphenation, the DRM has to be removed so soft hyphens can be added or converted to KFX after widows and orphans are set to 1 in the body CSS style.

Because I never read it on my kindle, I read everything on my kobo.
