Waterproofing a ereader was, and possibly still is, seen as a very niche move and yet here we are with the majority of high end and a growing mid range being waterproof. Personally right now a 6 inch color screen doesn't appeal to me. But if Kobo released a Forma 2 with color screen (and some other enhancements), I'd be tempted. Is it a make or break feature for me? No. But it's also not one I'd dismiss so wholly as you seem to be. |

Do you think "Colour" will be a good enough answer to my wife's inevitable "Why do you need another ereader?" question. Actually, it probably will. But, then she'll thank me for her new ereader. Just like with the Aura ONE and the Forma. |

I don't personally have a need for a color ereader since the books I read are generally novels with text only. Every once in a while there's a map or other illustration but nothing I really need to see in color.
I'll be interested to see what our early adopters here on Mobileread think of the Pocketbook once they receive it. |

Maybe hard to believe with everyone wanting a bigger screen here but people do read comics on 6” readers. For some comics the formatting fits the screen fine and does the job. I’ve read comics on my Kobo Clara for a while before getting a Fire HD 8 just so I could use Tachiyomi. So I think you can read comics on a 6” e-reader and I’m betting some would enjoy it. I know I wouldn’t mind it.

Manga (in tankōbon format anyway) are primarily black and white and fit nicely on a 6" screen (though I bet you'd find they look better on a Libra). Western style comics or European BDs are much larger and primarily in color. A 6" e-ink screen just wouldn't work well for them. Even with color. A 10" tablet is okay, but even there they feel squeezed. My Surface with 12.3" screen and 3:2 ratio is about perfect for comics (bit heavy though). Last edited by ZodWallop; 08-01-2020 at 03:12 PM. |

I like color screens, which is why I read on tablets.

I have read several other series on it too. I think what bothers some is the smaller text but it's just fine for me. I guess should've specified Western comics not manga. ![]() Last edited by Amiieey; 08-01-2020 at 05:12 PM. |
