I was thinking sense of entitlement, then this song came to mind, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H6re3PCP3E which led to special needs.

Blame Boo and Pistol - Amber Heard's dogs

Has anyone ever noticed that the less someone needs or wants something, the more verbose they tend to be?

I've always been amazed at newbies who start off their relationship with a forum by telling long standing members how something should be.

I get the configuration master yet again, and even though I don't even finish it (as I press "Cancel"), I get everything added to the registry, to the AppData, and all those file associations.

Isn't it possible to make *everything* under Calibre Portable\* aware of the fact that we're using the portable mode?
What even is the point of doing that? If you want Calibre itself to run in portable mode, run calibre-portable.exe.

ebook-viewer and the others do save their settings in the proper place in portable mode.

Here we go, the common push to insist that I want something, which clearly must be a display of my ever-so-growing sense of entitlement, with not-so-subtle references to harebrained dog-smuggling starlets is in full bloom once again. Even Chrissie with her deep pockets got dragged in. Honeyman-Scott and Farndon. Poor fellows. Don't do drugs, kids.

Take a clean system. Install the Calibre portable. Navigate to Calibre Portable\Calibre. Run the 'ebook-viewer.exe'. Take a look at the registry. Take a look at \AppData\Roaming. So much for the proper place.

What's the point? Doesn't matter. Worth considering? Probably. That's all.
