If I've felt the need to use something wet to lean my H2O, it's been just water. Over 5 years with my H2O and I've never gotten sick from it. Actually, I've never has a need to use anything other then water to wipe down my electronics (except fror maybe the screen). I'm not worried about germs/bugs.

Understood, someone mentioned using 90% alcohol to clean for germs and such. It's a common misconception that the higher the alcohol content the better. I was speaking to that.

I used to take my ereader with me in my handbag and pull it out at lunchtime or whenever I had a few minutes to read. Since Covid I don't usually take my reader out of the house because it's just one more device to clean when I get home.
I figure a device that I take out and about and use during the day is not a closed system since I may not have the opportunity to thoroughly wash my hands before each use. I can manage to read for brief periods on my phone without a problem (can't read too long on it or I get eyestrain). I clean my phone when I get home. Since alcohol/disinfectant wipes disappeared from the stores in my area at the beginning of Covid and haven't returned, I usually dampen a paper towel and add a drop of dish soap, then wipe the screen and the case with that, being careful to avoid getting it into places like the USB port or headphone jack. Once I'm home and have washed my hands, then I can use the ereader that stayed at home. |

I used my screen cleaner on a small part of the screen first to make sure it didn't ruin the screen. It worked ok so I cleaned my screen. It looks nicer but I still have crumbs stuck in the edges that I'm not sure how to get out.

Try canned air, or if something is really stuck under the bezel, use a soft-bristled brush.
