But modern Christmas is celebrated just as much, if not more so, as a secular holiday. Indeed being Jewish that's all I've ever recognized it as.

That just won't be possible. At the very least we're going to do International Talk Like a Pirate Day, because I just became a pastafarian.

And if we are going to do one religion, we might as well allow them all.

BTW, just becuase one is submitted doesn't mean we will use it. It needs to be well made, and hopefully make people smile.

Already this year we've had a "Fall Festival" in school instead of Halloween.

Classes are not allowed to put up Christmas trees or angels because its not 'inclusive'.

I am so sick of kow-towing to minorities.

If we are going to avoid offending everyone then maybe we should take a page from the Quark playbook. (Quark was a short lived US TV series from 1977 created by Buck Henry and staring Richard Benjamin.) Set in the future aboard a space going garbage scow, they celebrated Holiday Number Eleven with such phrases as, "Happy number eleven." That is the end of the slippery slope we are treaveling by removing "Merry Christmas" and other holiday names (as well as the meanings.)

I'm offended by these inoffensive "seasonal" logos. It will soon be 30 C in parts of Australia where it's warming to summer. Where's the snow in that?

What do you mean, "soon"? It's already there (33C yesterday, and that was under all-day cloud-cover).

Where's my MR-logo-on-a-surfboard graphic? What? I have to do it myself? I'm not sure if my MS Paint skills are up to it, but I might give it a burl later on.
