hee ! i see we both have the same liseuse progression. i wonder what percentage of 700 lovers had an eb1150 first ? maybe it makes us predisposed to appreciate the 700's qualities. i was interested in the 700 because it got pretty close to the eb1150 for ergonomy and features. the eb1150 is still my gold standard for ergonomy but the 700 does a pretty good job as well.

IT was the lights for me.

I read a lot in bed at night and while my Wife is understanding of the fact I don't sleep, I need something that works in the dark. The EBW is a great device, but my eyes were starting to hurt with it, so I took a chance and Santa gave me the PRS700. Now I have the best of both worlds.

Oh.. Andrea has mostly taken over the EBW at this point, she saw the library of books I have for it and she is fast becoming a ebook fan!

heh. i don't like the lights actually, on either of them. i wish i could have a version without.

i love that the lights are there when i need them. though i dont use them for long cause lighting tends to strain my eyes more. but for getting to sleep quickly some eye strain is actually good. if im gonna read for more than an hour though i would turn the lights on and get comfy.
