I only bother with that when the formatting is really bad. Most of the time I'm OK with it as is, and do an epub-to-epub conversion to fix the oversized HTML files. Sledgehammer to crack a nut, I know. But I'm not very critical where layout is concerned, as long as it's reasonably consistent.
